MASTERLIFE MINISTRY, INC. can be defined biblically as, nothing more and nothing less than the "ministry of reconciliation" in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19; it is "going and making disciples" as commanded by the Lord Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20; It is "remembering the prisoners" of Hebrews 13:3; it is the "equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry and for the building up the church" in Ephesians 4:12; and, it is bringing them out of captivity, back into the community with a hope, a plan, a purpose for a future as promised in Jeremiah 29:11-14
MLM is building an active church in the dorm and on the yard by reconciling the prison population to God through Jesus Christ, multiplying disciples for Jesus Christ, teaching incarcerated Christians how to go out and disciple others through the power of Jesus Christ, in and after prison. If you think
about it, the prison guards and other groups are already modeling the idea of discipleship, in that, they recruit, teach, and train those under them to think, behave, and obey a particular code of conduct. Similarly, MLM recruits, teaches, and trains the Incarcerated to follow Jesus' example; learning to think, behave, and obey Him in a biblical manner. Then, after their release, we provide a platform for them to continue serving the Lord, namely this nonprofit.
MasterLife Ministry, Incorporated's Mastering-Life-in-Prison-Program is not a Bible study, a class, or a program! Although Mastering-Life-in-Prison-Program (MLIPP) has the word PROGRAM in its title, it is NOT a program; it's the Great Commission carried out in prison. And although a MLIPP requires the use of the Bible, it is NOT a Bible study. The Bible is our point of reference to support all that MLM teaches and does. And although a MLIPP uses a variety of workbooks, it is NOT a class. The workbooks are Christ-centered resources used to guide the ML group through the discipleship process. So, MLIP is not a Bible study, a class, or a program; it is the church, in action, in prison!
Honestly, prison has plenty of programs. And, thanks to the local church volunteers & other Christian organizations, incarcerated Christians have enough Bible studies, Bible preaching, and Bible classes to qualify many incarcerated Christians as theologians. However, what many prisons are
lacking is a powerful, active church presence on the yard and in the dorms.
That's what MLM, Inc. is all about!
Our mission is to spread the message of peace and love through the teachings of Masterlife Ministry, Inc.. We believe in the power of faith and strive to create a community that fosters spiritual growth.
